I proposed to teach a mask-making and performance workshop as part of my Artist Residency at The Red Stables in Dublin, Ireland. It happened in April 2007. There were nine participants, rowdy 8-12 year olds on Spring vacation. The workshop was free thanks to Dublin City Council, especially Liz Coman, Jack Gilligan, and the office staff. Dublin visual artist Catherine Barragry was my skillful teaching assistant. A masked performance occured on the last day in the Red Stables Food Market. Owen O'Connor, one of the Red Stables artists in residence generously took most of the photos.

I learned mask making and performance under the tutelage of Bruce Marrs at dell'Arte School for Physical Theater in 2001 and 2002.

This is the lesson plan, which can be truncated or extended depending on your needs. If you are interested in learning more, or having me teach where you are, contact me.
